Ep42 is an introduction to LA-based artist and sculptor Brandon Lomax. Lomax combines a primitive/ancient aesthetic with his background in anthropology to understand the cyclical nature of human existence and our place within it.
It’s inspiring to see his ongoing dialogue about humanity and its relationship to the natural world — where we come from, why we are here, and how we interact with our environment. He approaches his work through multiple disciplines and mediums: painting, sculpture, landscape and soundscape. Each medium is a distinct voice in conversation with the others.
Lomax has completed residencies at the American Museum of Ceramic Arts in CA and Cuevas Tilleard, Lamu in Kenya. He has exhibited his work internationally for over a decade and is planning an outdoor installation in California in October 2020.
