For Ep13 of Thinking of Art, I caught up with LA based interior designer Adam Hunter. Adam shared inspirations of how to truly live your home at this time of quarantine. I also enjoyed hearing about his favorite businesses in LA, who he sources for furniture, and the must-dos tips for designing comfy spaces at home.
Adam also talked to me about his favorite museums, celebrity projects, and more! Oh, and listen until the end to hear about one of his favorite clients, Neil Patrick Harris. Celebrated for his dynamic, bespoke interiors that take cue from his decade as a star on Broadway – Adam Hunter is a force in the Los Angeles design community.
After years of leading roles under the bright lights, Hunter shifted his passion for drama and spectacle beyond the stage to designing extraordinary interiors across the country. Designing the famed Kate Somerville spa on Melrose Place, Adam soon became the go-to designer for Hollywood elite including Neil Patrick Harris, Sutton Foster, Travis Barker, and Christina Hendricks.
In 2014 Adam made House Beautiful’s coveted Next Wave list and in 2015 and 2019 was named to the Luxe Magazine’s Design Gold List. He has since been featured in The New York Times, Instyle Magazine, Elle Decor, and Vogue among others. His personal residence was featured in Architectural Digest in 2017.
