For E17 of Thinking of Art, we discussed how art & design fuels energy in the home. Have you thought about how art can shift energy in your personal space?

Thank you Malcolm for sharing inspiration stories around self-compassion, the importance of living with intention, & how to weave art (and stories) into our personal spaces. Thank you for reminding us to take time to reconnect to mentors, role models, & those who have made meaningful impacts in our lives.

Born in Houston, Texas, Kutner earned his BA at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio before taking graduate Masters degrees in Critical Theory at The University of Sussex, England and in Design at the Inchbald School of Design in London.

Malcolm spent two years in Spain and twelve years in London (where he established his own design practice in 2001) before moving to New York City in 2007, where he currently lives.   In addition to his design work, Malcolm also sells French reconstruction furniture, and was featured as a Curio exhibitor at Design Miami/Art Basel in 2019.

An avid traveler and dedicated writer, Malcolm has travelled extensively, and had his written work published in some small collections and magazines.  He is currently at work on his first book, and planning more trips once the travel restrictions are lifted.
